Reviews and Ratings
The hotel exuded a cozy ambiance with spacious rooms that felt like a suite; perfect for families seeking a bit of privacy. The service was top-notch, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While the location offered serene countryside views, it was occasionally disrupted by passing pedestrians. The dining options were varied, although the traditional fish dish stood out. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel is tucked away in a quiet hamlet of Oborne, offering a tranquil stay with lovely gardens and good WiFi connections. The staff, from the owners to every individual, are incredibly friendly and helpful. While the location is peaceful and convenient for exploring Dorset and Somerset, it might feel a bit isolated from lively events or Christmas parties. The dining options are satisfying, and the service is top-notch. The facilities meet expectations with charming touches throughout the property.
The hotel provided a cosy room that was traditionally furnished, in keeping with the old building, boasting a four-poster bed, fireplace, and a large outdoor balcony covered in Wisteria. The beautifully tiled bathroom was a nice touch, although the room temperature was a bit challenging since it was so cold that I had to be moved to another room, which ended up being too hot. Parking was very convenient, and overall, the stay was pleasant.
